Cong An Ha Noi 1-1 Thanh Hoa
The first half was slow, with both sides feeling each other out and creating few clear openings. The turning point came in the 43rd minute, when Dinh Bac headed home a cross from Van Do to put the hosts in front before the break.
Cong An Ha Noi thought they had a second goal in the 54th minute through a Brayan Perea header, but VAR ruled the build-up offside and the goal was disallowed. Thanh Hoa answered on a quick counter and Van Tung finished in the 60th minute to make it 1-1.
The rest of the match saw the hosts push for a winner. Perea sent another close-range header off target and Dinh Thanh Binh missed a chance in stoppage time. In the 87th minute the referee first pointed to the spot for Thanh Hoa, but VAR found an earlier offside and the decision was reversed.
